“ One of my two favorite Italian bakery shops, Court Pastry holds a special place in my heart. The interior may be bright and minimal in terms of any decor but their delicious baked goods is what counts. This business isn't just a bakery. It's an institution. This is the real thing and I've tried other Italian shops that just pale in comparison. With the holidays here, Court Pastry has already added special items served only during the Christmas season. Many include figs and Hazelnut. All are delicious. I was a young child accompanying my mother to Court Pastry and as an adult, I continue to shop here. The aroma and variety of sweets knows no limits: Easter Egg Bread, Lobster tails, delicious Cannolis, biscuits and mixed cookies. I recently saw a post on social media debating where to find the best rainbow cookie. While the person praised a shop out on Long Island, my vote goes to Court Pastry. I've no doubt there are some other good Italian Pastry shops but that confirmation comes with a keen palate. I love everything about this shop and the lengthy lines during the holidays prove others feel the same. There's just so much deliciousness going on here. Try their holiday fig/ginger biscuit with a good cup of coffee. Indulge in the Pignolis. Forget about your diet when enjoying a Cannoli. When in Carroll Gardens, make it a point to drop by. I spoke to folks in the past who always visit when in town from Florida or specifically make the trek from Long Island. Yes, it's that good and yes, my updated review confirms that. ”

“ What a treasure this place was to find. I was playing the part as a tourist and just wanted some nice pastries and cookies for the family at home. The two young ladies in the shop were more than helpful suggesting popular items that they were known for. They wrapped up the goodies in a nice little box and secured it with string. The cookies and pastries made safely home and were a hit! This place is a neighborhood jewel. ”

“ Places like Court Street Bakery are some of the few remnants of pre gentrification of Brooklyn times. This place has the most amazing hand made ices that you cannot get anywhere else. If you want a taste of the past come on a hot summer day and order a chocolate, lemon or custard ice. They use their original recipes. Real chocolate, real almond and real lemons. The flavor is amazing and the ice crystals are perfect at the temperature they are serving them. As a pastry shop it was better years ago, but if you can get a freshly made ricotta cake then go for it. The price is great too. Long live these old time establishments. They are authentic and will never tell you so. Carrol Gardens Italian culture survives even if no Italians work there anymore. ”

“ Great old school Italian pastries. Love the sfogliatella (similar to a "lobster tail"); their cannolis and almond cookies (amaretti, etc...) People seem to love their chocolate cannolis. I don't get the appeal. I don't the flavors mix well - but that's me. ”

“ They sell ices!!! I got the custard which was yummy and had nuts in it. My kid got the lemon ice which was super tasty and made me regret my decision! They had chocolate and pistachio which I will try another time! Yes they have cookies which we love but I never saw them with ices!!! ”
